LoRa wireless protocol

T he continual growth of IoT has placed a heavy industry emphasis on wireless communications and the development of protocols. At the same time, there remain many remote places in the world where standard cellular or Wi-Fi signals are unable to reach. For this reason, the IoT field has seen an increase in focus on satellite connectivity, which could enable communication in these remote locations.  One way to help achieve this is to use the  LoRa wireless protocol,  which has become an increasingly popular choice over the past couple of years.

Embedded Hardware Platform

  A team of engineers from Northwestern University (NWU),  led by Dr. Josiah Hester , have developed  a new sensor-based hardware platform for face masks . This  " FaceBit" is a lightweight, quarter-sized sensing platform  that can turn any facemask into a smart monitoring device. The developed hardware platform can sense users' real-time respiration rate, heart rate, mask wear time, and misfitting of the mask. All this data is transmitted to a smartphone app that includes an analytics dashboard.

SOIL SENSOR Maintaining proper soil pH is the basic requirement for normal crop growth. When the Renke soil pH sensor detects the electrode (sensor) directly contacts the soil, the current generated by the oxidation-reduction reaction in the chemical reaction is used, and the current value will drive the data of different pH value units corresponding to the ammeter, which is converted by the host. The results are displayed in the form of numerical values
